    (President, American Diabetes Association, Western Chapter; Professor of Medicine and Physiology, University of California at San Francisco); Expert in diabetes, endocrinology, and cancer. Cloned the insulin receptor and determined its role in breast cancer.
  • Franz Hillenkamp, Ph.D.

    (Professor and Director Emeritus, Institute of Medical Physics and Biophysics at University of Münster, Germany; Visiting Professor, Harvard Medical School); Co-invented MALDI-TOF MS, now a ubiquitous tool for biomolecule analysis in the life sciences.
