FAQ
Below please find a list of frequently asked questions and the respective answers with regards to caprotec's technology, products, services and collaboration programs.
Q: How do I know that my CCMS reaction works?
A: Each caproKit contains positive controls. The appropriate use of the positive controls will provide you with unambiguous information about your CCMS experiment.
Q: Can I use caproKits for experiments with plant cell lysates?
A: caproKits can be used with cell lysates from various origins, also from plant cells. Cell lysates that contain an unusually high amount of biotinilated proteins may present a problem, as they could potentially interact with the streptavidin beads and lead to a loss in sensitivity. These issues can be addressed by using the biotin depletion protocol provided with the kits.
Q: What controls are recommended for CCMS experiments?
A: We recomend to use positive controls, to demonstrate intact capture conditions and control reactions with a competitor (also provided with the caproKits) to detect and identify interactions that are not driven by the Selectivity function.
